Specific kit for the qualitative, rapid and specific detection of Sars-Cov-2 in clinical swabs using a “Point of Care” system

A new strain of coronavirus, never before identified in humans, officially classified as SARS-CoV-2, is currently responsible for infecting nearly three million people worldwide and causing approximately two hundred thousand deaths.
SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs mainly during normal social activities, through the inhalation of microdroplets. These droplets can also settle on objects or surfaces.
If objects and surfaces become contaminated, the virus can be transmitted indirectly through contact between contaminated hands and the mouth, nose, and eyes.
Laboratory data show that the virus has different survival rates based on the type of surface.
Under controlled conditions, the virus was detected for periods of less than 3 hours on paper, up to a day on wood and fabrics, two days on glass, and for longer periods (3/4 days) on smooth surfaces such as steel and plastic, persisting for up to 7 days on the external fabric of surgical masks*.

The system allows for automatic interpretation of results, real-time visualization, and online availability. Sigmoid curves corresponding to positive (+) samples indicate the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Straight lines indicate that the analyzed samples are negative (o) for SARS-CoV-2.
